Juniper Passion official launch on 25th April 2012 ANZAC day.
The Juniper Passion Multi-Media/ Opera CD. This work which has been two and a half years in the making is set to be launched on 25th April in the Gallaher Concert Chamber at the Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts. Select scenes will be presented in a semi-live performance along with a presentation by Michael and librettist John Davies.
Amalasunta for guitar and flute is scheduled for its premier performance in Italy at the Volcanic Lakes Festival in February 2012.
May My Shadow Never depart performed by 175 East in Auckland on the 18th November
Extracts from The Juniper Passion were performed at the recent Okta concert on the 10th September 2011.
Michael's new piece May My Shadow Never Depart for contemporary ensemble "175 East" was premiered on the 11th August 2011. This piece was written for Bb clarinet, bass clarinet and effects and loops processed through "Ableton Live". A stunning performance was given by clarinetist Gretchen La Roche and bass clarinetist Andrew Uren.
The Triple Concerto Convergence was played and recorded by the New Zealand Chamber Soloists and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra in May 2011 at the Wellington Town Hall. It was conducted by Tecwyn Evans.
Dances Mercurial for string quartet performed in May 2011
Passacaglia a trio version of the Passacaglia movement from the triple concerto performed in May by the New Zealand Chamber Soloists.
Kala Danda performed by renown Irish flautist William Dowdall at the July 2010 Okta concert.

Breathe -a new CD of contemporary New Zealand and Irish music including Michael's new piece for flute and backing track Kala Danda has just been released through Atoll Records . All pieces performed by leading Irish flautist William Dowdall.

Free downloads
Every now and then, Michael will make scores and audio files available for free download.
At the moment there are two piano scores that can be downloaded free. They are what he describes as palate cleansers, or simple short pieces written in between larger projects. The first of this series are the two Simple Piano Pieces Opus 10 nos 1&2. These piece are free to a good home and should be approached in the manner in which they were written i.e. without pretension and with a simple sense of joy. For your free download click here.
